Cody Bellinger has been named first-team All-MLB, while Hyun-Jin Ryu made the second team.

The teams were determined by a combination of voting from fans and a decorated panel of 30 media members, broadcasters, former players and other officials throughout the game.

Bellinger was named National League MVP in 2019, slashing .305/.406/.629 with 47 home runs and 115 RBI. He also earned his first career Gold Glove Award and Silver Slugger Award while making the All-Star team for the second time in three seasons.

In a career year for Ryu, the veteran left-hander went 14–5 while taking home the ERA title (2.32). Ryu was tied for third among qualified Major Leaguers with a 6.79 strikeout-to-walk ratio and had the lowest walk rate (3.3%) in the National League.

The All-MLB Teams were unveiled Tuesday at the winter meetings.

News and Notes:

  • On Monday, president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman confirmed Mark Prior will become the Dodgers’ pitching coach, while Josh Bard will return to the Dodgers from the Yankees as the club’s bullpen coach.
