Right-handed pitcher Chase De Jong, catcher Kyle Farmer and right-handed pitcher Jacob Rhame were added today to the Dodgers’ 40-man roster.

The players needed to be elevated to be protected from the Rule 5 Draft on December 8.

The Dodgers’ 40-man roster is currently full. For reference, here’s a timeline of when (and how) Los Angeles originally acquired each of the 40.

Of the 40 players, 18 were acquired via trade and 16 were originally signed to an MLB organization (either via draft, internationally or as amateur free agents) by the Dodgers.

Brandon McCarthy, Charlie Culberson, Scott Kazmir and Louis Coleman were Major League free agents, while Josh Ravin and Andrew Toles were minor-league free agents.

Farmer and Rhame have been in the organization longer than more than half of the 40-man roster.
