by Cary Osborne
The Dodgers 2023 coaching staff will have no new faces, but will have a few changes.
Danny Lehmann, who has been with the Dodger organization since 2015, is now the Dodgers’ bench coach. This is Lehmann’s sixth season on the Major League coaching staff, where he previously served as game planning and communications coach.
Bob Geren, who had been the Dodger bench coach since 2016, will now have the role of Major League field coordinator in his eighth season with the club.
After the departure of hitting coach Brant Brown to Miami, fifth-season hitting coach Robert Van Scoyoc keeps the same role as hitting coach and Aaron Bates, who was assistant hitting coach the last four seasons, has now been named hitting coach.
All other roles remain the same under eighth-season manager Dave Roberts. Those names and tiles are:
· Mark Prior — Pitching coach (sixth season)
· Josh Bard — Bullpen coach (fourth season)
· Clayton McCullough — First base coach (third season)
· Dino Ebel — Third base coach (fifth season)
· Connor McGuiness — Assistant pitching coach (fourth season)
