The Dodgers placed pitcher Rich Hill on the 10-day disabled list and recalled another left-handed pitcher, Adam Liberatore, from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Hill goes on the DL, retroactive to April 15, with left third digit inflammation. Hill has thrown 15 innings so far this year, allowing 10 runs on 17 hits with 16 strikeouts and seven walks.

He started the season with a 9–0 win against the Giants, tossing six scoreless innings, before allowing 10 runs over nine innings in his last two starts. Hill last pitched Saturday against the Diamondbacks, allowing seven runs on seven hits in five innings while taking his first loss of the season.

This is the first time Hill has gone to the DL since last April, when a blister on his left middle finger sent him to the DL twice in the same month.

Liberatore, 30, has appeared in five games with the OKC Dodgers this season, going 1–0 without allowing an earned run. He has allowed two unearned runs in 6 1/3 relief innings, striking out nine with two walks.

Liberatore has pitched for the Dodgers’ Major League club each of the previous three years, most recently appearing in four games for the Dodgers in 2017 and allowing one run in 3 1/3 innings. His 2017 season ended with a trip to the 60-day disabled list with left forearm tightness.
