Double-A Tulsa’s Michael Busch and Andre Jackson will both take part in the 2021 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game on July 11 at Coors Field.

The Dodger prospects will be part of the 22nd installment of the annual event, features some of baseball’s top minor league prospects. Busch, a first-round pick in 2019, is ranked the club’s №3 overall prospect by MLB.com. Jackson, who’s on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster, is currently ranked №27.

Jackson is one of nine pitchers while Busch is one of seven infielders on the National League Futures roster. The seven-inning National League vs. American League format began in 2019 following the U.S. vs. World format (1999–2018).

The 25 players on each team were selected by Major League Baseball in conjunction with MLB Pipeline, Baseball America and all 30 clubs. Each Major League organization is represented.

Wahl claimed, Seager to 60-day IL

The Dodgers claimed right-handed pitcher Bobby Wahl off waivers from the Brewers on Wednesday and transferred Corey Seager to the 60-day injured list.

The move means Seager won’t be rejoining the team until after the All-Star break at the earliest after being placed on the injured list with a fractured hand on May 16. Roberts said on June 28 that Seager’s progress had plateaued recently. The shortstop stopped swinging a bat for a few days after dealing with lingering soreness while hitting.

“It’s an acknowledgement that it’s going to be that long,” said manager Dave Roberts. “Certainly when this happened, this wasn’t our hope. But kind of as it’s played out and the healing process, it’s where we’re at right now. With the All-Star break, with the time, the extra four days, I can’t even guarantee the first day of the second half he’ll be back with us, but that’s our hope.”

Wahl was a 2013 first-round pick of the Oakland Athletics who has spent parts of three seasons in the Majors with the Athletics, Mets and Brewers, posting a combined 7.63 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings in that time.

Seager is with the team in Washington D.C. ahead of their trip to the White House on Friday.

Blue and White House

President Joe Biden will welcome the Dodgers to the White House on Friday morning, recognizing their 2020 World Series win. The event will be held in the East Room at 8:30 a.m. PT.

It’s the Dodgers’ first visit to the White House since Oct. 26, 1988, when President Ronald Reagan welcomed the champs.

On Thursday afternoon, Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff visited the Dodger clubhouse.
