Don Newcombe threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Kenley Jansen in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Justin Turner gave the Dodgers an early lead with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first.
Yasiel Puig doubled to center and scored Cody Bellinger to give the Dodgers a 4–0 lead, completing a four-run first inning.
Turner and Corey Seager each had an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth. Seager then scored on a groundout from Puig to give the Dodgers a 7–1 lead.
Puig crushed his third triple of the year in the bottom of the seventh.
Austin Barnes scored on an RBI triple from Seager in the bottom of the eighth.
Seager then scored on a single from Turner for a 9–4 Dodgers lead.
